My brothers and I rode the Silverton train on May 8. Bill Colley (Sp?) was the engineer and the 482 the engine.
We had 166 passengers out of Durango picking up rafters and USGS persons along the way. After riding the 463 charter last year we were ready for the cold. The crew let all the passengers in the gondola come into a coach, which we did. The trip was very enjoyable.
We ate at Natalia's in Silverton, maybe because it was closest to the train.

I must say one thing that the C&TS has over the D&S is the lack of condos along the right-of-way. One good thing is that the golf course at Rockwood was not built. After Rockwood things were better.
