Hi, all -
My good friend Al Phillips of the Tennessee Valley Railway Museum recently sent me a
few photos taken earlier this month by his co-worker Mike Ray on the occasion of #4501
being moved outside the shop for the first time in years and re-coupled to her tender. Un-
less my ancient eyes deceive me, that's "Uncle Al" standing at the rear corner of the tender
in this first photo:

Note the addition of a Worthington feedwater heater at the top of the smokebox; the hot water pump is mounted below. Another improvement is the addition of a stoker - the heads of the stoker engine's cylinders can be seen below the cab, still in red primer.
Per Al, there will be a steam test "soon" ...
