Come on Dirk, you just convinced yourself the
318 fired & steamed better after all that
tinkering. Or, maybe the new flues did increase
draft, new boiler lagging retained heat better
and the newly rigid firebox increased BTU's?
Fewer flanges on endless curves?
Lots of work regardless. Sorry I missed the 318
under steam. Will this discussion bump up the
bidding on the door? I've tried to image both
as living room dividers with PhotoShop but they
just don't fit well so am not going to bid.
