I'm planning to paint and letter two frameless (Van Dyke) tank cars for my G scale layout. The plan is to letter them as non-Gramps UTLX cars.
I've been doing some research and found that the 1956 numbering is what I'm looking for, car #s 11034-11058.
I already have three cars numbered 11037, 11042, and 11048. All with Gramps lettering. I'm not sure if these are correct or not but came from the manufacturer that way.
Now I'm looking to repaint and number two additional cars that came from the manufacturer in a different roadname. I'd like to letter them as UTLX cars without Gramps lettering.
Is there any list or guess on which cars had "Gramps" on them and which did not for the 1956 numbering?
Hopefully there is some information on at least two of them without Gramps. Any two will do.
