Leek and Manifold Valley Light Railway

I ran across a link to a YouTube of an old English narrow gauge (2'6" gauge) that ran in Derbyshire, England.

The video was shot a few years before the line closed in 1934, and a Google search for the railway brings up several interesting hits.

The main traffic carried by this railway was milk (as it worked out, this was not a good business model!), occasional passengers and whatever.

What blew me away was the headlight on the little locomotives (there were two of them). I've NEVER seen a British locomotive that carried a headlight (Thomas notwithstanding).

As can be seen in the opening scene, they even carried piggyback!

Unlike most narrow gauge lines, it was solidly constructed and apparently never had problems with it's track.

Anyone here know anything about this line?
