Both the current fence and spout have happened after we worked on the Rico tank. I haven't been in Rico for several years. We also worked on two of the mining head frames in Rico about the same time as the tank project, but we have been working closer to home for the past 5 years as there is plenty of work in Silverton and it doen't involve commutes. One year my business partner put 40,000 miles on the company truck keeping up with projects in Telluride, Rico, Durango, and Ouray, with a few odd ball ones thrown in like the Matterhorn Mill and the tram terminal at Sawpit. Ophir Pass is a great Jeep trip, but when it becomes a daily commute both ways, sometimes twice a day, and late nights past midnight, the excitement wears thin. One of our recent best local projects was a walk across the alley to do a major rebuild of a neighbor's house.
