After a little research, The wreck with 455 was in November of 1943. This I knew already, but what wasn't known was when she was painted in the sunrise herald.

Here is 0404 in the corner of the picture, dated June 30, 1940, being taken apart:

clearly seen is the lantern still atop the cupola, and the roof tar paper as well as a the side trim has been removed.

Next is September 2, 1940, the new tar paper is installed, lantern removed, and what could be a fresh coat of color:

In the RGS Story Volume XII, can bee seen two similar pictures on pages 70 and 71, one of her being torn apart, with frame boards visible, and one with fresh, unpainted siding installed.

This is the first definitive picture I have found (posted earlier by Jeff Taylor) of 0404 in service with her new paint scheme, October 26, 1940:

So, In conclusion, 0404 only ran with the Sunrise herald from some time in September or October 1940, to November 1943. Interesting that one of the most modeled schemes is one of the shortest lasting!
