I have been looking at the 1988 edition of "Trails Among the Columbine". This issue has a story and pictures by Grant Houston, a familiar person in this forum. There are a couple of questions:
1. Was the end of track at Lake City shaped into a turning loop? Or was there ever a wye in Lake City?
2. I haven't been to Lake City since 1987. At that time, it was still a charming mountain town. However, much of Colorado has been marked by development and changes that threaten the historic character of those towns. Is Lake City being developed the same as other place in Colorado?
"Trails Among the Columbine" is one of my favorite series of books. Grant, thanks for writing that piece.
