Conductor McHolland was certainly seeing his allocation of nine lives tested. This incident from the Durango Wage Earner newspaper for Nov. 9, 1911 shows the D&RG was having its own share of track problems not unlike its underling the RGS
Come to think of it this incident sounds a lot like the current thread, except without the RGS drama
