Welcome aboard, John!
On page 16 of
Rio Grande Narrow Gauge - The Final Years, Alamosa to Chama by Joe
Hereford & Ernie Robart, there is a very detailed map of the railroad yard in Alamosa.
*
This map shows the refinery as being immediately adjacent to the roundhouse on the
east side, but unfortunately does not give any details as the the layout of the refinery
itself.

* This excellent 112-page paperback book - which contains numerous photos - is focused on the last four years of D&RGW freights over Cumbres Pass. Winter operations had ceased after a major fire closed the refinery in September, 1964, and traffic dropped further as drilling for oil and gas in the Farmington area declined. The last shipment of oilfield supplies over Cumbres Pass took place on August 28, 1968, and the last eastbound shipment of lumber from Durango to Alamosa crossed the pass the following day.
