Sams Coupler and Pin

The Southern Pacific Narrow Gauge Historical Society (SPNGHS) held its 2012 Conference at the SPCRR's location in Ardenwood Park (Newark, California). One of the 2011 participants at Hawthorne, Nevada, was given a find by a fellow who had missed the event. He wondered if it was railroad related and if we knew what it was. Randy Hees tried the pin like object in one of the SPCRR's Sams patent couplers. Perfect fit. It is rumored that another Sams pin or two may exist in Colorado. Anyway, does someone have one or know of one, or is this the last of many???John Friend
