Re: Goose #3 will not be at Goosefest--Update

Dear Railfans:

Galloping Geese will be waddling around the track of the Colorado Railroad Museum for Goose Fest next weekend, June 16 and 17.

This special gaggle of geese includes these railcars:

•Geese No. 2, 6, and 7 from our collection here at the Colorado Railroad Museum
•Goose No. 5 from the Galloping Goose Historical Society in Dolores, Colorado
•Goose No. 4 from the City of Telluride, Colorado
•Goose No. 1 replica, built by Karl Schaffer, from Ridgway, Colorado

Goose No. 4 has just been restored back to service, and we’re thrilled to be taking it around the track for train rides during Goose Fest.

Unfortunately, Knott’s Berry Farm notified us today that Galloping Goose No. 3, which they own, will not be participating in Goose Fest as we had planned.

We're disappointed, but all the other out-of-town geese will be winding their way through the mountains to be here for Goose Fest. And with that said, we’ve got goose bumps about what’s in store next weekend.
