01789, tea leaves, and a call for help

Nice title, huh, (yea, right)! Anyway, for the 01789 at the CRRM, I was curious if anyone could give me a history of it, maybe a 2000 series boxcar? As for the tea leaves, I just thought I'd let you guys know that I have finally begun to put scenery on my layout, and found tea leaves can be an interesting looking material for burned leaves, bark, etc. And finally, I think you guys should take a look at Dave Dyes surviving D&RGW/RGS roster page, it has come a long way in the past couple of weeks. I hope there will be even more contributors who can help make the list more complete.
Just thought I'd ad my two cents, or with that many subjects, should it be 6?!
