Hi Guys- Thought you might like to know that the new book Rails Around Lake Tahoewill be released by Signature Press this summer. It not only covers the LTRy&T, but gives extensive coverage to the Carson & Tahoe Lumber & Flumming 3' line, the Sierra Nevada Wood & Lumber Co's 3' Crystal Bay RR, the 3'Lake Valley Railroad and the various other smaller narrow gauge lines like the Clinton RR, Truckee Lumber Co., Pacific Wood & Lumber, Donner & Tahoe RR and M.C. Gardner (the only standard gauge logger in the Tahoe Basin).
There is also a chapter on the steamboats that operated on the lake. Hundreds of photographs, maps, scale drawings as well as paintings by Jim Finnell, John Coker, James Coldicott and Mike Kotowski.-Mal Ferrell
