In 1971 the Museum first printed Colorado Rail Annual No.9. Included in this Annual was an article on the Galloping Geese entitled "Tin Feathers and Gasoline Fumes" by author Stanley Rhine. There have been additional printings of the Goose article, but none for many years.
Due to the renewed interest in the Geese and a wealth of recently discovered new material, the Museum has just printed a new book on the Geese entitled "Tin Feathers, Wooden Trestles and Iron Men. This 83 page soft bound book contains some of the material and photos from the original Annual No.9, but the majority of the text and photos are new. I have to admit I am a huge Goose fan, but this book is a great entertaining read for Goose Fans and non Goose fans, alike. Some very interesting previously unknown facts and anecdotes are in the book. Stan Rhine has an unique writing style and a great sense of humor.
It is priced at $10.95 and is in stock at the Museum.
