Rodney,I'm a 1:20.3 live steam builder myself. I have attached a pic of # 360 so you can see the configuration. The crosshead rides between two slides, one above and one below. The tough thing to do is to make the attachment on the cyl head side - but that's what needs to be done.
I may have some prints which would show a layout if you want them.
