Re: A train is a train

To movie people if it is on rails and blows steam it is a train, and that is all that matters. There have been two "history" segments filmed on the Sumpter Valley. One of them was for a PBS series on the Chinese in America (building the transcontinental railroad) and the other was for a History Channel program on Jesse James. Not only was the equipment wrong but so was the gauge. It didn't matter much on the Jesse James part though. If you looked away from your TV for a moment you would have missed it. And this took two days of filming.

It does help pay the bills though.
