Unfortunatly, it would probably never happen. The majority of the ROW is on private property or Forest Service land. In the late 70's, myself and a well know tourist railroad operator, looked into running a "goose" line from Telluride to Vance Junction. The property was impossably to obtain, and the Telluride residents wanted no part of it. There might be small part of the ROW availably, but the cost factor would be amazing. Yes, a rebuild would be nice but not a reality....IMHO.
