Mike, you are correct that a Garratt would not fit in with the historic theme of the Maine museums, but as to the weights of Maine two foot gauge locos I think you may be off just a little. The SR&RL 23 (admittedly the largest in Maine) weighed in at 63,000 pounds...just a tad more than 10 tons. I believe the mainline of the WW&F museum is mostly 55 lb. and 60 lb. rail.The Garratt would probably still be a rail buster however!
