Our latest project (started Dec. '10) is restoration of C&S 1008 caboose. Several recent threads on this board have documented the story of our "discovery" of this long lost caboose, in Northridge, California (north side of Los Angeles) of all places. She's finally getting some TLC, and we're attempting an operating restoration.
Our earlier NG restoration project GWEN (18" Ga. British loco, built by Huslet, operated at refractory clay pit, 1920 - '57) is older news. She's been seen at Calif RR Museum Railfairs in 1991 and '99, and at Nevada St. RR Museum Railroad Days in 2000 and '04. (Along with Dan's Eureka at all those events.) GWEN has her own personal engine house, and about 200' of railroad at my Brother's home for occasional exercise.
