To my knowledge, it is still restorable, but I do not know what its current condition is, or how many cubic bucks would be needed to restore it. I believe there are still some folk in Waynesburg area trying to keep it in good condition with occasional coats of paint. However, to my knowledge, no one there at the moment is knowledgeable on how to restore it to operation.
When I took the photos above in this thread, Tim Sposato had headed the restoration to operation. He then went to Florida (I believe) and then returned to work for the Ohio Central steam program. He is now very involved with Jerry Jacobson on the Age of Steam Roundhouse project (& if you visit that site, you will see him in several photos).

As far as I know, not much has been done since 2000, but Jim Weinschenker was the one heading up the work at that time. Contact info for him is on that website, although the site has not been updated for a while.
Well, I suppose that is more info than you may have wanted, but I hope that helped answer you question!
I was hoping to head out from Ohio to see/ride the C&TS, Loop, D&S, & Sumpter Valley this summer, so if I do, maybe we can meet somewhere & swap stories! However, if the gas prices keep heading up, I may just stay nearby with my usual trips to the EBT & ET&WNC!
