Re: EDNA vs. RICO

Yes the EDNA was used on the RGS at the time Otto was in charge. He bought it from the D&RG in 1890, and named it San Juan. The car was built in 1881 for the D&RG as business car A. By 1904 it was re-named EDNA, and B-20 around 1921. To Knott's in 1951.

Otto used it and the Rico as business cars.
The Rico was built as D&RG mail car #4, then D&RG excursion car No.569. The RGS bought it in 1890, designated it as construction car c-3, then rebuilt at the Burnham shops in 1892 as business car Rico. Re-named Montezuma by 1909, then B-21, and later converted for MOW service.

The Rico today does not have its original(1892 business car interior) anymore. The CCRM did a fine job building a new interior.

The EDNA was lucky and was continued to be used as a business car. She still retains her the interior as it was rebuilt in 1925.
