As of today the rails are open from M.P. 324.1 to M.P. 332.75 except for the East section of M.P.329.79 to M.P. 329.81. Tomorrow, we should get East Coxo Xing down to M.P. 335.10. The rest will be done with a backhoe when one is available. This is the first stage addressing the track work.
SHOP UPDATE Eng 497: Work continues on the running gear and
spring rigging.
Eng 463: The lead truck problem has been corrected
cellars have been packed, brake cyls have
been cleaned and repacked, The trailing
truck will be dropped once the drop pit
is clear. Air pump needs to be mounted.
Eng 489: The spring rigging will recieve some new
rockers and reset the furnance bearing
shims. The cellars have been repacked and
the tram appears to be okay at this time.
A rebuilt air pump will be installed once
we get them back from Bernie.
Eng 488: The boiler inspection was completed today
by Bob Yuill and a few shop personnel.
The NDT is the first step in complying
with the new CFR Part 230.
Eng 487: Work will began in a few days.
Eng 484: Set aside
