Today 493 finally made it to the end of track in Silverton - the first time ever- to be greeted by a crowd and the masked belles of Silverton. Actually most everyone wore a mask, a sign of the times. The other sign of the times - the ten passenger cars were empty - no passengers, with the possible exception of Jerry Day rumored to be on board. I also understand the box car carried food for Silverton, and a flat car carried a couple of ATVs or other such contraptions.

The Silverton belles may have been waiting for the lone passenger (Jerry Day AFIK) or more likely they were enamored with 493
Here 493 and her train are wyeing for the return to Durango. Due to operator error I won't be posting my scenes of the train north of Rockwood, but Dick Bell was at Rockwood and the Animas River bridge and assured me that he would be posting photos after he makes his second diesel-powered log train run tomorrow
