Out of steam on the narrow gauge

This is the second week that the diesel has handled all of the log traffic on the Silverton line, so hopes for seeing 493 in action with log trains may have to deal with the reality that the diesel is fairly capable. Judging by the distance covered, one might guess that the fire mitigation/tree removal project is about two thirds complete (wild guess only on my part - they are now working near Needleton siding).
