This is what the car looked like last July 30th--some guy was pestering me about saving this car so I went up to take some pictures. He went off on some other green tangent later on, but he may be right about the value of saving what may arguably be one of the oldest narrow gauge cars still cluttering up the landscape. A favorite mountain run around Silverton is to run up "to the boxcar" and back into town.
