Green Boilers

Here are some photos I have from my personal collection taken by Dick Kindig and Richard Jackson. These are copies of original slides. You can see a full broadside of 489 with a green boiler for the 1950 RMRRC excursion--very hard to tell it's green. Draw your own conclusions about other photos which may have been altered. The 340 pic with the red roof was taken when she was out of service and I have no info on that paint scheme but from other color slide of active locos this was not the norm. Anyway thought I'd share what I have.
