Another Cab Ride Question for Jerry Day

I have my cab ride and motor car booked for the first week in August.
What is a good camera to use in the cab if I'm not in the way of the crew. I'll have my D-750 and a D-80 and my nikon point and shoot.
I'll use my big camera on the way back in the motor car.

Other question what is the light like at Shalona Lake?
I'll scope it out from the cab but would like to walk down there from Rockwood to get morning or afternoon shots from the lake while I'm down there.
