Winter on the Esquel ng. in 2019

Olaf's pictures of ng. trains and snowy mountains reminded me of the above trip I took back in November of 1973. It was supposed to be spring but the cold wind on that front platform of the lone coach on the rear of a mixto chilled me to the bone. But what is even more interesting is you can still do it. Next month in the dead of the Patagonian winter Bernd Seiler of Farrail Tours is running a charter over the Esquel line. For anyone looking for a real adventure it is still possible, but who knows for how much longer. Check it out here:
