The Christmas message from the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad and Museum is:
Our historic trains lend themselves to a festive, old fashioned Christmas experience. The Narrow Gauge Railroad proudly offers a delightful ride along Portland's twinkling waterfront dotted with special holiday displays. Children are thrilled to find Santa eagerly awaiting them at the museum. All of our visitor have the opportunity to mingle, munch on homemade cookies and sip cups of mulled cider. We welcome everyone who seeks a warm and quaint family experience. All this at regular train fares!!!

The NGDF was started by Don Richter and is currently operated in his memory by Nathan Holmes and others.
