RGS - Omega

I added a segment between MP 25 and 26 which I hiked with my youngest daughter after opening weekend on the C&TS back in 2014. There is a parking area for this rail to trail route on the north side of the highway. The trail is on or close to the grade for the most part except for a couple of bypasses. Along the trail are some remains from the old Omega ore tipple site. Ties can be found in the ground or off to the side of the trail in several locations.

I have also added a couple of photo links near Placerville that may be hard to see due to the overlay clutter. One is at the far north of the spur for the oil facility and the other is at the start of the spur where it crossed the creek.

There is an Omega button at the bottom of the map to get you there.
