Bellevue & Cascade combine replica nearing completion

Volunteers at the Jackson County (Iowa) Historical Society are creating a replica of one of the Milwaukee Road narrow gauge combines that once ran on the Bellevue to Cascade, Iowa ng branch. Starting with the remains of a D&RGW ng pipe gon acquired last year, they are well on their way to reaching their goal of having a narrow gauge car on display in front of the relocated LaMotte depot in Maquoketa, Iowa. They were featured on the local TV station yesterday.

There is a B&C boxcar being restored also elsewhere here in Iowa (besides the replica in Cascade) by several individuals as a private project. When I get more information on that project I will share it if allowed to.
