A double take

May 21, 2018 04:23PM
Hello everyone, it's been a long time. Real life shipped me off to Farmington so I had less daily contact with the NG and have not had the time and energy for this hobby of mine. I see new forum software and many familiar faces still!

Still marvel at all the DRGW remains in between Farmington and Durango. The Bondad tank gets worse every year!

I even drove through Chama the other day and saw 483 still sitting there, and even managed to find the yard at Antonio for the first time.

I still have not ridden on either NG, but now that the kids are really into it I will probably be making plans soon. The wife sometimes gets tired of my random NG related trivia as we drive by a tank here, a bridge there, a roadbed, etc.

Anyway we were in Durango yesterday and lo and behold, 476 pulls in with the evening train, wait what, 476? I did a double take, because a few years ago she was in the museum "forever". Happy to see her fixed.

The "10 year plan" to have "7 running locomotives" on the DSNG is very exciting.

Are any K-37's fixed up besides the one in Golden?
