PMC reporting from San Jose, Costa Rica:
The Atlantic Station museum (northeast San Jose) is being moved to the south where the Pacific Station (and locomotive shops are located). I assume all the rolling stock and the 2-6-0 will also be moved to the Pacific Station location where they´ll have more room. Presently, the Pacific Station has on display a small tank 0-6-2T that may be of European design (no builders plates on it) and there is a 2-4-0 with tender there too (It has builder plates on both sides of smoke box and was built in Philadelphia in the 1890s but is not a Baldwin). There is also a box electric engine on display there too. The Pacific line use to be electrified. I understand from locals that there is some small diesel activity on the Pacific Branch out of San Jose but the rest of the 3´6" is dormanent. It would be nice to reopen the Atlantic line to Limon but it would be very expensive as it was severly damaged by an earthquake several years ago.
