J&L Narrow Gauge 64 Runs for the First Time

January 14, 2018 05:31PM avatar
The 5 ton Brookville Gas- Mechanical locomotive that had sat on one of the radius tracks at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania until donation to Youngstown Steel Heritage last year, has been returned to operation. It has been converted to 24" gauge and re-engined. The locomotive will be painted yellow and green and given the number 64 for the J&L Narrow Gauge Railroad in Youngstown, OH. We have another week or two of work to finish up some of the controls then the 58 will be brought back inside to continue it's restoration to operation.
