An interesting observation from this photo (and also this one here:

narrowgaugememories.com])
is, that the number of ties from headblock (including) to point of first frog is about 33 or 34 or so.
I don't know, whether these two photos show #8.5 or #10 turnouts, but in both cases this is consistently more than on the respective narrow gauge turnouts (typically 28,29 for a #8.5 or 30,31 for a #10).
I don't have my SG MoW plans at hand right now, so I will check that later, but it looks like a SG tie layout.
Which of course would also make much sense, considering the higher axle loads of SG trains.
