NNG- but big steam

January 11, 2017 02:12PM
Reported elsewhere today is the news that former C&O 2-6-6-2 1309 is scheduled to make her first public trips on July 1 of this year over the Western Maryland Ry.

This machine is big, pretty close to a WP 2-6-6-2 in size & power, just a lot newer having been built in 1949 or so.

I'd already planned a trip out there with a newly retired friend, but am now thinking about going twice.
