I was researching some early USGS maps of Durango and came across ones from 1908 showing a spur from just south of the current yards heading east into Horse Gulch (Behind the present day Sonic Restaraunt) and to the City Mine. After searching a bit more I came across this .pdf which included an image of the mine's unique loading trestle (page 4).

I really can't find any more about this mine but thought it was pretty unique and haven't found any more information about it on the web or discussions about it on this forum. Appears to have been torn out by the 1910s or so. Would this mean that the direct Durango area had 5 railroad running out of it at one point? (Perins Peak, RGS, D&RG, La Plata Coal RR). Anyone in the Durango area willing to take a short walk up to it? It is located here
