That is how Bill Jones did the RGMT heralds on 278. I don't think there were 1/2 inch scale sizes then, he used one of my ON3 sets. Made a copy neg, used a projector to display it at the right size, traced it on heavy card stock and cut it out with a box cutter or xacto knife. Was a long time ago and I probably have some of the details wrong. If Bill reads this, he can correct my recollections.
RR Museum has a number of D&RGW metal stencils (or they did at one time), but no D&RGW logos.
