This year's Santa Claus weekend will be powered by a diesel borrowed from the Georgetown Loop RR. As well, the weekend will see at least one of the "Geese" in operation.
No. 346 is down to be reflued and have its boiler carefully checked. It was running with 318's tender. Perhaps the locomotive will be back in service next year.
No. 318's frame and drivers have been rebuilt and reassembled. The frame has been restored to tram. The running gear project is in stall 1 in the Roundhouse. 318's boiler is outside. Parts of it may be salvagable, so the whole locomotive may be back in service sooner than expected.
