WP&Y 69

September 22, 2001 11:09PM
The November issue if Railfan&Railroad arrived today; I read with interest in Lineside Legacy that there is a plan pending to send the WP&Y 69 back to Alaska. I have read that the Stuhr Museum was been unable to decide what to do about the engine or how to fund a restoration for over 10 years.
Perhaps if the Stuhr folks want to "play trains" a small tank engine would be better suited than a 67 ton 2-8-2!
It seems that the Stuhe also has baggage car Colorado and Southern #104. Can anyone tell me when and where this was built? And how did it get from Colorado to Nebraska?
