The Porter order sheets I've seen do not specify colors. The sheet will describe the finish (polished cylinder covers, magnesia lagging, steel jacketing and such) plus the name and number to be applied.
I've posed that question to George Thagard who has a VERY large collection of Porter part blueprints, and he didn't know.
