a new state to add to the NG list (historical)

minnesota can now be added to the ranks (err always was)

while reading a book about streetcars in the twin citys i came across a section about the Minneapolis Lyndale & Minnetonka Railway (3 Ft) that used steam "motors" disguised to look like horsecarts to pull...horescarts. but outside of downtown the line ran on its own ROW and opeated a 2-6-0 and regular passenger cars on this section. the road had 12 stall roundhouse that was a litle ambitous seeing that they only ever operated 3 locomotives. when the twin citys went to electric cars the roundhouse was used to maintain electric (4' 8 1/2") streetcars for awhile before being replaced by a more conventional streecar barn (think diesil shop) after the new shop was constructed the roundhouse was cut down to 4or5 stalls retaining its turntable and backshop it remained in that state untill the abondoning of the streetcar lines in the mid 50,s when it was torn down.
