Hi,
I am looking for information on the Gainesville, Jefferson and Southern narrow gauge equipment. The line was standard gauged in 1914. There were three locomotives on the roster when the line was reorganize into the Gainesville Midland in 1904.
One was #3 an 1883 2-6-0
One was a 2-8-0 : D&RG 71 "Pacific Slope", then D&RGW Ry 71, RGW 71, RGS 27, Carolina & Northwestern 230, GJ&S, GM (on hand 11/1908), Southern Iron & Equipment 969, CAA #3 Havana Cuba 10/8/1915. This was a D&RG class 56 locomotive.
The rolling stock of the GM in 1914 consisted of 3 locomotives, 5 coaches, 3 combines, 63 box cars, 7 flat cars, 2 stock cars, 8 coal cars, 13 service, and 3 cabooses.
I am also looking for information on the Roswell Railroad.
The Roswell had one locomotive, one combine, two box cars and four flat cars.
Thanks
Doug
