All the GS 4-5 (mabie 6) had both an airhorn and a whistle. Infact the whistle on the 4449 now is from GS-6 no. 4460. Also, I belive all the Cab Forwards had at least a steam whistle. Finaly, I belive they put the airhorns in for when they were going through urban areas but for any other reason besides that i dont know.
