According to Matt Bumgarner's book: "The Lawndale Hi,
Railway & Industrial Company", the two baby Vulcans were sold to a scrap dealer Hyman-Michaels in 1946. One of these locos was spotted en route north in 1947.
I understand the combine and several other cars were stripped of metal and left lying in the vicinity of the trestle in Lawndale town. They sat there until the remains were finally burned. The trestle area has since been filled in.
If you are interested in the Lawndale, I strongly recommend you purchase a copy of Bumgarner's book. But don't wait. I understand they are about sold out. The last I saw, a couple of the paperback editions were still on sale at the Colorado RR Museum, but that was a number of months ago.
Best Regards,
Glenn
