RGS #20 smokebox

I was to Strasburg on Sunday, and found the smokebox of RGS #20 lying outside, in what looks to be very poor shape.
What is to happen to this piece? Try to be saved and reused? Scrapped and a new one fabricated? Sent back to the CRRM?
