I am only a humble guy from germany who sometimes dedicates some of his spare time to run a steam train of his club. I would like to express my admiration to Dan who keeps the Eureka in such a good shape and operating condition. With the original boiler???? Wow! Can you give any hints how to treat it as we are struggling with corrosion!
Anyway, I agree on his views: A historic locomotive should be operating (if it can) instead of being silent and dead. Yet it must not be wasted in stressful day-to-day service. Kudos to all who are dedicated to this wonderful engine.
