Stuhr update

The move of WP&Y 69 to Alaska is not over yet. My GI correpsondent reports the local newspaper, The Grand Island Independent, has been flooded with letters about keeping the engine and starting the train operation back up again. It has gotten to the point where the museum last week reportedly accused the newspaper of biased reporting, only to have the newspaper reply that they had NOT gotten one letter in support of the action the museum was trying to take.
www.theindependent.com has been printing what they consider the best letter received the day before as that day's letter in the newspaper.
