Constructed from std.gauge locos #1003 to 1026 not consective, class 190(C-41)(old #'s 1101-1130)
Class K-37, Type 2-8-2, service: frt., gauge:3'-0"
Buildergrinning smiley&RGW, date: 1928 Dates in service 4-14-28 to 10-29-28(490-495) Cylinder size 20"x24", Steam-superheated.light wt. as built per unit 221,000 lbs.
Cost each $24,981.15, group cost $124,905.75
AFE 3882 10-29-28 construct 6 NG locos #490-495
AFE 3950 12-28 apply cab curtains on locos 490-495, consisting of building up tenders with steel,hood curtains, replaces side and back curtains, total cost per group $ 318.01, $43.60 each.
AFE 4206 12-1929 apply automatic fire door. economy-an-Eso. 16"x20",replaces hand operated door, 492 & 493 were done by 12-29, cost each $83.20.
490 was done by 6-1930, costing $92.51.
AFE 4617 6-1930 apply auto fire doors to locos 491 & 495, same as above, cost each $87.67
AFE 4569 10-1-30 Construct 4 narrow gauge steam locmotives, mikado type, carrier class K-37, 2-8-2, superheated steam, cylinders 20"x24", coal burning, light wt. 226,200. Cost each $22,527.20(499 cost $22,527.21)Dates in service 7-1930 thru 10-1930......
